Amendments & cancellations

Amendments and cancellations are, in some cases, inevitable. We guide you through this process by sharing with you in advance everything you should know for them.

Do I have to pay a cancellation fee when I cancel my booking?

You will be charged by isferry a cancellation fee of 40.00 euros for international routes and 25.00 euros for domestic routes per booking (not per passenger). In addition, a cancellation fee from the respective carrier may be added.

Up to what amount can cancellation fees rise?

Most carriers apply cancellation fees as follows:

  • 0% in case of cancellation due to force majeure (e.g., severe weather)
  • Up to 31 days before departure: the ticket can be canceled or the travel date can be postponed without any surcharge.
  • Up to 30-15 days before departure: 50% of the ticket fare as a cancellation fee. Alternatively, the date of travel can be postponed (difference in fare must be paid)
  • Up to 14-8 days before departure: 75% of the fare as a cancellation fee. Alternatively, the date of travel can be postponed (difference in fare must be paid)
  • Up to 7 days before departure: 100% of the fare as a cancellation fee. Alternatively, the date of travel can be postponed (difference in fare must be paid)
  • Promotional or special offer tickets (e.g., early booking offers, special offers etc.) are not refundable. Alternatively, the date of travel can be postponed (difference in standard fare must be paid)

Kindly note that all information mentioned above is without engagement. The detailed carrier's booking terms regarding cancellations and refunds can be seen on this website and surely upon completion of your booking and before payment.

In any case, we recommend booking protection, with which you get a full refund (booking protection fee excluded) up to 45 days after your departure.

Do I have to pay an amendment fee when I amend my booking?

You will be charged by isferry a cancellation fee of 40.00 euros for international routes and 25.00 euros for domestic routes per booking (not per passenger). In addition, a cancellation fee from the respective carrier may be added.

What happens if my trip is canceled?

In that case, the port office of your carrier will issue new boarding tickets for the next possible ferry trip or another date of travel if you wish.

In case of delay or cancellation of the departure due to force majeure (e.g., severe weather), please contact the port office of your carrier to be informed of the new timetables. We recommend clients reach the port office of their carrier directly to know if the passage is carried out or not.

Can I change my booking as a whole or a specific part of it?

Generally, yes, you can. But keep in mind that amendments are often handled as cancellations. This means that you will have to cancel your booking and make a new one.

What can I do when the data of my booking are incorrect?

In that case, you have to manage your booking in my account section of our website or contact us directly via email or phone and we will try to correct any errors or omissions. But, unfortunately, it is not always possible for us to correct errors as it depends on the carrier's booking terms.

To access my account section or to contact us, you need to know the email address with which you completed the booking and your booking reference number.

We recommend canceling your booking online through my account section and making a new booking with the correct data IF your booked departure date is more than three weeks ahead.

Finally, the carrier and isferry may require an amendment or cancellation fee. Before completing any amendment or cancellation, we will inform you about the exact amendment or cancellation fee.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, you can. Go to my account and request an online booking cancellation 24/7. Further instructions are given there.

How can I get a refund for the booking I have canceled?

In the same way, you have paid for your booking. Refunds (less the charges levied by the carrier and isferry) are credited to your credit, debit or prepaid card, PayPal or bank account - depending on which method you initially chose to pay for your booking. You will bear possible bank charges and possible refund delays are subject to inter-banking agreements and not of isferry.
