It is notable to mention that Cres and Lošinj are connected not only by ferries but also by a bridge.
Losinj is famous for its rich flora, containing pine forests and various medicinal herbs, as well as for its mild climate (more than 200 sunny days per year) and its great quality of air and water. All these together form the ideal recipe for wellness and vitality, a main reason for its high traffic, especially during summer months. The island also offers plenty of available activities, like walking / cycling / hiking (280km of footpaths and cycling trails), tennis, water sports, diving, sailing and excursions around and to the nearby islands.
