Access is by ferry from Pounta's little port, in the west part of the island, with several itineraries during the day with conventional ferries carrying both passengers and vehicles. There is also a small boat, operating daily between Paros main port (Paroikia) and Antiparos that only takes passengers and no vehicles. The boat usually operates from the Greek Easter (around April or May) until October.

The ferry time from Paros to Antiparos depends on the type of vessel, the port of departure and the weather conditions and varies from 10  to 30 minutes. The shortest ferry trip is from the port of Pounta.

The distance from paros to antiparos depends on the port of departure. From the main port of Parikia is 4.9 nautical miles (about 9 kilometers), while the distance from the little port of Pounta is 0.7 nautical miles (about 1.3 kilometers).

The schedules are daily throughout the year. However, the itineraries are more frequent during the peak months between April and October. In particular, the ferry from Punta port is available all year round, while the ferry from Parikia port is only available during the peak season.

The services start from early morning to late afternoon and the frequency during the summer months could be almost every 30 minutes.

The ferries operating on the route from Paros to Antiparos are small conventional vessels, as the route between the two islands is of very short duration. During the high season there are also small vessels that carry only passengers and no vehicles. During the summer months, the ferries may be crowded and you may have to wait for the next one at the port.

Tips for your journey from Paros to Antiparos

  • The main port of Paros, Parikia, is quite busy in the summer, so make sure you arrive at least 60 minutes before your departure. However, the port of Pounta is not so busy because it mainly serves routes to Antiparos
  • If you are just going for a day, afternoon or evening stroll around Antiparos town, we recommend that you not take your car
